1.Account & sign-in issues

• Forgot your password: on the sign-in screen, choose "Forgot password" to receive a reset code by email. Codes expire after a short time; request a new one if it lapses.
• Not receiving the verification or reset email: check your spam folder, confirm the address is spelled correctly, and allow a few minutes. If it still does not arrive, email us.
• Signed up with Google or Apple: use the same button you originally used. If your provider email changed, contact us from the address on the account.
• You think your account was accessed by someone else: change your password immediately and email kogoto2026@gmail.com with the subject "Account security."

2.Safety, blocking & reporting

You can block any user at any time. A block works in both directions immediately and everywhere in Kogoto — Nearby, messages, connection requests, and Stories — and the other person is not told.

You can report a user, a message, a connection request, or a Story from the same screen. Reports are confidential and reviewed by Kogoto's operator; the person you report is never told who reported them, and a report is reviewed before any action is taken. Filing a knowingly false report to harass someone is itself a violation.

For a child-safety concern, use in-app reporting and select the child-safety category, or email kogoto2026@gmail.com directly.

Before meeting anyone in person: meet in a public place, tell someone you trust where you will be, and leave any situation that feels wrong.

3.Delete your account

In the app: go to Settings → Delete account, confirm your password (or re-authenticate with Google or Apple), and follow the prompt. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone: every session is revoked, Nearby and Bluetooth advertising stop, your device stops receiving push notifications, and your profile, gallery photos, Stories, connections, messages, and other account data are deleted.

If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in: email kogoto2026@gmail.com from the email address associated with your Kogoto account, with the subject line "Delete my Kogoto account." We verify that you control that address before deleting the account.

A few narrow categories are retained after deletion for safety and abuse-prevention reasons — see Section 8 of the Privacy Policy.

4.Your data & privacy requests

To download a copy of your data, use Settings → My Data & Privacy → Download my data in the app.

To make any other data-protection request — access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or objection — email kogoto2026@gmail.com. We may need to verify that you are the account holder first. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

5.Emergencies

Kogoto cannot dispatch help and is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services directly (112 in the EU). For a child in danger, contact your local emergency or child-protection authority — do not wait for a report to be reviewed.
